If we made plans for break, be sure to remind me! Otherwise I'll forget... need to work on writing things down! I do remember some of them, so in those cases we just need to hammer out details. I'm thinking mostly after christmas for those things, more time and such.

Alright, anyone who happens to be reading my journal today-
The Prophet...! Honestly, I really don't understand them. It is certainly NOT an illness! I have several friends from home who are gay, and I love them to pieces! There is NOTHING wrong with them, or being gay in the slightest. Maybe it is more natural and accepted in the Muggle world, and I guess I had never thought about someone being gay that was also a wizard, but I do not see any reason why there wouldn't be. I'm sure there are loads of them, they've just been too scared to say anything... and I can see why! Same thing used to be true in the muggle world, and even then, Muggles are still not entirely rid of their prejudices. Just like wizards. But for the prophet to make SUCH a big deal! Merlin, you'd think the Vanes are all rogue vampires!
Now, I also doubt there was any molestation involved, because for any adoption or fertility treatment center to start handing out children, massive amounts of paperwork and back round checks are involved before anyone can even SEE a child. My mother sometimes has to deal with adoptions if she is stationed anywhere near the Maternity or NIC wings, but they are handled through a third party, only because the process is so intensive. Anyway, Romilda would never have been given to an unworthy family, no matter how her parents first came to have her.
They're acting like Death Eaters themselves, don't they get it? Everyone deserves respect, the same rights, freedom and equality, if not more.
I can barely stand Romilda sometimes, and haven't really forgiven her for last year, either... and STILL I feel the need to say something! This is how ridiculous this whole mess is, causing me to be nice to a girl who tried to kill Ron!
Sometimes I am ashamed to be a witch, when people- supposedly self-respecting witches and wizards- like the prophet start talking about things they don't understand.

Many entered and only 5 winners were drawn to commemorate the grand opening of the new Quiditch Museum. You may remember that this particular snitch was caught by the Bulgarian seeker Viktor Krum, although the game was ultimately won by the Irish. I feel as if I'm walking in a daze... is everything moving slower then normal, or is it just me?
Something bad is going to happen soon, I can feel it. Something to really... jar us around a bit. It's been peaceful for way to long. It's just a lull and I'm trying to make myself aware that it's not going to last, although I pray that it does... |
